Moti Ferder

Master craftsman and jewelry expert, Moti Ferder, has been immersed in the diamond industry from a very young age. His family’s diamond business, which was established in Antwerp, Belgium in 1965, provided Moti with extensive gemological training allowing him to develop his skills as a diamond cutter and pursue his passion for high jewelry making.

Before pursuing a career in developing a true luxury jewelry brand and expanding it beyond the traditional, Moti served four years in the Israeli Army as captain in a combat unit, during which he met his wife, Idit Ferder.

Moti’s vast experience from diamond cutting to worldwide distribution has afforded him a broad insight into the diamond and jewelry industries. This knowledge has contributed to his success in establishing Lugano Diamonds as one of the finest jewelers in the world. Under Moti's leadership, Lugano opened its Salon and headquarters in 2005 in Newport Beach, California. He has since expanded the brand with new salons around the nation, including Aspen, Colorado; Palm Beach, Florida; and the newest location in Ocala, Florida at the World Equestrian Center.

Giving back to the community is one of Moti’s most profound pleasures. He is deeply involved in the philanthropic community and currently serves as a board member for the Anderson Ranch Arts Center, the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, and the Lupus Research Alliance. Both Moti and Lugano Diamonds as a whole support a variety of nonprofit causes, organizations, and events, including the Mission Hospital Foundation, Friends of CASA for Children, United Way and The Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders, among many others.
