Michelle Wellington brings over 25 years of jewelry retail experience to her role as Boutique Director at Lugano in Greenwich, Connecticut, where excellence and fine craftsmanship define the client experience. Her impressive career includes leadership positions as Director at Long’s Jewelers and the Patek Philippe boutique, as well as 14 years with Cartier—spending over a decade in Boston and several years in Las Vegas and Houston.

Born and raised in Germany in a military family, Michelle holds a BBA with a concentration in International Business and German- and is also fluent in the language. Throughout her career, she has consistently demonstrated a commitment to growth and leadership, having completed the prestigious INSEAD Leadership Program and participated in Cartier’s elite High Jewelry GEM initiative.

Outside of work, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, reading, and exploring the outdoors—especially skiing during the winter months. She is passionate about causes close to her heart, including animal welfare, autism awareness, and support for children and veterans. Recently relocated from Boston, she has been actively involved with cultural institutions such as the Boston Ballet, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, and the Peabody Essex Museum.

Guided by the personal motto, “Nothing great was ever accomplished without enthusiasm,” Michelle approaches both life and work with an energetic, growth-focused mindset. If given the choice to live anywhere in the world, it would be somewhere where mountains, water, and nature converge—an ideal setting for Michelle’s happy place.
