Lugano Diamonds recently spent the week deep in Virginia Hunt Country supporting America’s oldest continuously operating horse show―the Upperville Colt and Horse Show. With origin stories dating back to 1853, UCHS is also believed to be the country’s introduction to the concept of a “horse show” as an event in its own right. Rich in history and resolutely maintaining its old-world equestrian charm, UCHS has evolved into a highly competitive hunter/jumper show attracting some of the best riders in the world.
Throughout the week, riders and spectators alike enjoyed the show from the signature Lugano VIP Lounge where they rested, dined, and admired magnificent jewelry all in one lovely location. In the heat of the afternoon on Sunday, June 16th, the lounge filled with an eager audience to watch the signature event of the competition―the $216,000 FEI 4* Upperville Jumper Classic, co-presented by Ethel M Chocolates and Lugano Diamonds.
Earlier in the show week, Lugano hosted an intimate dinner at a private residence horse farm in Marshall, Virginia. As the sun set over the rolling fields, a gathering of top riders, fellow show sponsors, and friends of Lugano dined on an incredible meal crafted by celebrity Chef, Michelle Bernstein, paired perfectly with gorgeous wines from Napa Valley’s Alpha Omega Winery.
